Our First, First Day of School

Sadly it has taken me way to long to get this posted. My mind has been on so many other things as I am trying my hardest to get all ready for Christmas before our baby comes. Which means there are many projects right now. But, better late than never, here is our first, first day of school.

First day of school outfit.

You can't start school without the good old picture by the front door.

She was so excited to wear her new backpack and take her lunch to school.

Waiting for the bus. Luckily for us, the bus stop is our house.

Getting on the bus. I was a little worried about how this would go, but she did great. No tears from her and no tears from mommy. As Bella and I watched the bus drive down the street, Bella said, "I want my Savannah, I love her." So cute.

Waiting for Savannah to come home.
Seth has always planned on being home for the first day of school, but sadly he had a major physics test that day for radiology. He had to leave very early so he missed the whole morning. Happily the test was only a few hours so he was able to be with us to welcome her home.

My day is done. Welcome home Savannah.

Everyday she greets me with a hug, which I love.

She is in all day kindergarten, so it has been quite the adjustment for us. She absolutely loves school, which makes it so much easier. The long days do make her very tired, but hopefully she will get used to that. I did much better than I thought I would until that night when it all hit me, we get to do this all over again tomorrow and many more days to come. One day at a time!

Wow, she takes the bus too? That would make me anxious too! It is so cute how their siblings miss them so much when the leave.

I was totally laughing that you wanted another girl this time! I would never have guessed. Boy is better - then you're not in my position the next time around wondering if you're always going to get the same gender!

She is darling! How fun that the bus stop is your front yard! How is all day going for you guys? I am still trying to adjust. It's a seriously adjustment for me. By the time she gets home and we do homework, practice the piano, make dinner, do showers...it's past bedtime. SO overwhelming!!! I can't even imagine when I have more than one in all day. HELP!! At least she's having fun though, right!?

She looks adorable and so grown up. It makes me sad even thinking of Jace going to kindergarten in 2 years. Hope you are all surviving!
